WE HAVE RE-OPENED! We are now meeting in the building on SUNDAY’S at 11AM.
Things haven’t entirely gone back to the way it was before, so please adhere to the rules:
Social distancing including face masks (provided) will be required to be worn throughout the service.
You will have to give your name and address for track and trace reasons.
There will be hand sanitizer stations in the building, and we have a strict one way in system to follow; entry through the front door and exit through the rear side door.
If you have a temperature or are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, please DO NOT attend.
If you are unwell or are shielding, or if you are simply unable to attend in person, you can join the Zoom/Live Stream on YouTube each week. You’ll find details for these on our Facebook Page: Sandfields Presbyterian Church.
KEEP AN EYE OUT OF FACEBOOK FOR ALL DETAILS OF ACTIVITIES AND NEWS. OFTEN FACEBOOK IS UPDATED QUICKER THAN THE WEBSITE.
(In normal circumstances) Weekly Sunday Church gatherings begin at 10:30 for coffee and cake. The service starts at 11am, then most people stay around to share a meal after the service (typically 1230-2). It’s optional of course, but you’d be very welcome to stay too.
We meet because we believe Jesus changes lives and we want to celebrate him and make him known in Sandfields. We have children’s church during the service. Everyone of all ages are welcome. It’s a good place to start if you’re interested to know more about the Christian faith. There’s no dress-code, no expectations, just come as you are.
Cafe Church happens on the first Sunday of the month. This is for people of all ages and understanding. There are tables set out with small discussions and quizzes per table. Children are welcome and included in discussions and times of worship.
We have two exciting interactive Bible Study groups on Wednesdays. The content is the same but there are two meetings to allow those who are not available at one time to meet at the other. Daytime is held in the church building at 10.30-11.30 & Evenings, 7-8pm is at the New Manse, 67 Farm Drive, SA12 6TF, although currently only on ZOOM. We are all at different stages of life and faith, but we grow together. Come with an open mind. It’s a great time of encouragement as we let God develop our faith by His Word.
‘Tea & Toast’ (formerly community cafe) – is waiting in the wings until the coronavirus dies out. Keep an eye out and come along when we are up and running again. It’s free for anyone to attend; it’s also free in cost. An area for children to play safely and adults to chat, play games, read newspapers and a place to make new friends.
Free confidential professional counseling is freely available to anyone who needs it. Karen Hayward comes each Friday afternoon from Abergavenny to provide this service to people of the Sandfields/Port Talbot community. You don’t have to come to church to take advantage of this service. Write a private message if you want more details.
Room Hire is NOT available at the moment. (But normally, rates start at £25 per hour for use of the main hall and kitchen.) Enquire within. You’ll need to read, agree and fill in a booking form which includes important terms of hire and a deposit up front.
